Squantum Association Wedding: Alia and Mike

I am really excited to show you Alia and Mikes wedding at the Squantum Association in East Providence RI. I had such a fun time with them during their engagement session, I knew they were going to have a fantastic wedding! These two met in college at BU during freshmen year Physics 101. After years of being each others study buddies, they finally tied the knot.

While Alia’s hair was getting finished up I found some interesting spots to photograph her details. I really love the elegant details on her dress. David DiNisco was my fabulous second shooter for the day. While I was with the girls he photographed the guys. Alia and Mike chose to do a first look. I always get the most emotional photographs out of this part of the day. This is the first time they see each other. We then moved on to some of their formals. Alia actually had more than one first look. While we were doing the wedding party photos Alia’s son came down with his grandfather all dressed up in his adorable little tux and this was her reaction to seeing him.
James was a little shy during family formals. In order to get him looking at the camera a groomsmen stood behind me making faces and waving a napkin. I’m loving their new family portrait.
I love this next moment. Alia was walked down the aisle by her son. I have to thank David DiNisco for this one.

I had the hardest time deciding on which photo to use for Alia and Mike’s first dace, so I used three. That incredible dance was followed by Alia and her dad. This next one is one of my favorites of the day. The toasts were given by Mike’s best man and brother followed by Alia’s Maid of honor. Their reactions were just priceless.
As it came time for Alia and Mike to eat their delicious Lego cake the idea of a cake smash crossed Mikes mind, but I think the consequence of such an action made him think twice.
Right at sunset we snuck for a few portraits. The sky was breath taking! I’m ending with two more portraits. Thank you Alia and Mike, your wedding was incredible. I hope you’ve enjoyed your teasers.
