Hi, I'm Angie

I’m a documentary style
wedding photographer

Weddings are about the people and the unscripted spontaneous moments...

Some are heartwarming, some are downright hilarious, some messy but all of these moments are shared with the people you love the most in this world. My best work is created with couples who lean into who they are and who they love and trust me to document their wedding. I’m not a trendy photographer. I do not care where we are, only that the images are honest to you and you are experiencing your wedding the way you want to.

When I was a child I spent a lot of my time at college. My mom would pack me up (along with all her art supplies) and tote me around to all her fine art classes. It was the few times I ever sat still.

It is where I was introduced to light, composition, and an artist’s vision. My exposure to art set the wheels of creativity in motion and led me here. It also helped form how I document weddings.

This is where I begin with you – documenting the unscripted tender moments and real emotion. Sometimes, its the unexpected seconds that can become the most beautiful memories.

I strive for raw, honest, and emotional images that showcase the connection between the two of you and the love you share for your friends and family.

Through this lens, I am able to translate the love you feel, frame by frame, into images you can keep and share. In the end, your memories are preserved works of art, ready to be gathered together in an album or hung on your walls.

I’m a former biologist, avid traveler and dessert connoisseur who loves whiskey and red wine. I’m married to a man who luckily loves hosting friends and family as much as I do, and somehow am entrusted to be responsible for two tiny humans and an incredibly sweet dog.

And I can’t wait to meet you.

"We were initially drawn to the natural yet electric feel of Angie's work. The joy of her subjects feels very real -- because it is. Angie is there to capture real joy and real beauty and real love, not to force it through posing or a trick of the light. Her passion is for people and for love itself, and that's what makes her work second to none!"

My Wedding

to get to know me & my style, here's a little about my own wedding

The idea of being married in front of 100+ people made me a little nauseous. So, my husband and I opted for a destination wedding in the first country we traveled together, France. We wanted to share our love of travel with our family so we decided on an old farmhouse (Thanks airbnb) in the French countryside and had 20 of our friends and family join us for a week.

It was really the first time our parents had been abroad and we were excited to share that with them. The night before the wedding we had everyone over for a meet and greet. I remember looking at our guests and realizing everyone was chatting as though they had been friends for years. Everything was exactly how we wanted it to be: a small party, with friends and family, good food and wine, and no need to be anywhere else.

A few tidbits about me

I love gardening and spend a small fortune buying and growing different plants. just ask me about it.

I travel as much as possible. Life is too short to stay home.

I splurge on coffee. My brother calls me a coffee snob. I might be…

I swim for fun. I know who does that. I like to compete in the IM and Breast stroke.

I was a molecular diagnostics and pharmaceutical biologist.

I can always eat.

I’m a lover of stories, and I’d be honored to be able to hear yours and help bring it to life.

I’m Highly food motivated. Mainly dessert. I really like dessert.

What does working together look like?

Communication

All great relationships start with communication. First let’s chat on the phone or video. I know that can be intimidating but it’s the easiest way to connect. We will learn about each other.

I want to know what’s important to you.

Comfort

My job is to wait, anticipate and capture moments. It is to give an artistic honest reflection of your wedding. For any of that to happen, we need trust and comfort. Clients tell me my secret power is I have a calming presence. They don’t feel stressed and they know they can be themselves. It’s not about putting on a performance. It’s about loving the people you’re with. A walking Xanax really…

Simplicity and honesty

I try my best to keep things uncomplicated. From our communication to planning and then even the images. It’s part of the reason I want to chat with you instead of sending 40 emails. I like clear, simple communication. I love simple uncluttered compositions. I love honesty in photographs and between people.

A little behind the scenes

Here are a variety of photographs throughout the years. I try hard now to document us because you can never seem to have too many images of the trips you’ve gone on, the people you’ve meet or the things you’ve done.
