What were you most excited about before the wedding?
Before the wedding I was most excited to Marry my high school sweetheart. I was excited to be with family and friends and have all of my people in one room celebrating together.
What moments did you love the most after your wedding?
Looking back at my wedding day two things come to mind: Our first dance, it was really special, I honestly don’t remember anyone even being in the room, I just remember the two of us talking and laughing together. Even though the music wasn’t perfect and I was nervous about everyone just looking at us, it all just went away. Something else that was really special that we did was go around to each table to greet our guests, yes it took a while and we didn’t get to eat because of it. But, it was so special that I can honestly say I spoke to everyone and thanked them for coming out and celebrating with us.
What was the best decision you made for your wedding?
Honestly the best decision I made was to do the day after photo shoot with Angie. Your wedding day is a very long day, and it was really important to us to do extended family photos. Our venue wouldn’t let us come to early, and I didn’t want to have to get up at the crack of dawn, so we planned to do our couple’s portraits a couple days after the wedding. A day after the wedding, we were not stressed about getting our perfect photo of the two of us and we were able to get photos in some amazing locations, which we would never been able to do on the day of the wedding. It was also really fun to put my dress back on and we were so much more relaxed that day. The pictures from that day are my absolute favorite and came out amazing.
Which images did you love the most, any one specific ones and why?
The photo’s from our next day shoot are my absolute favorite because of the locations and how relaxed we are. I really like the candid photo’s that Angie got.
If you shared a little advice for couples going through this process what would be the biggest take away?
For sure if you can, you should do a shoot with Angie the next day!! You won’t regret it!
Honesty, I was incredibly organized and being so really made the day go by as smooth as possible. Also, don’t stress about the weather, there is nothing you can do about it, and make sure you have a good rain plan.
