A beautiful day in Dover, MA at Mary and James’ Connors Center wedding!
Any advice for couples going through this process or about to go through the process?
While each couple should totally do what feels best for them, we were really happy we decided to do a first look and family formals before the ceremony! It meant a lot that we were able to then see everybody during cocktail hour and spend more time with all of our guests. Plus, Jamie still got very teary eyed during the ceremony so it didn’t take away from that at all!! We also loved that it meant more pockets of time for just the two of us to have a moment together, because people aren’t kidding when they warn you that the day flies by.
What were some of your favorite images?
Oh gosh, picking is impossible because they all feel so, so true to us and the energy of the day!!! Jamie’s reaction to Mary’s outfit change is of course up there, as are a lot of other “reaction” shots of Mary’s dad seeing her the first time, Jamie seeing Mary come down the aisle, the bridesmaids and sisters in law laughing at some getting-ready mishaps… We also love the bridal party formals because they don’t feel “formal” they feel natural and vibrant!! Angie and her positive vibe just meshed so well and so naturally with our whole crew that every emotion in the photos feels immensely authentic.
Was there anything that surprised you about your wedding?
Just how much Mary couldn’t keep it together!!! Well, both of us really. (Those sniffles weren’t just the pollen…) We both knew it would be emotional, but we’ve also been together nearly 12 years and yet it still hit us both hard walking into the ceremony just how special and wonderful and lucky it is that we have each other, our family, and our friends. Those feels definitely come through in the photos.
