Julia + Dylan’s Newport Beach House Wedding
What led you to decide to celebrate the wedding the way that you did?
When we started planning the wedding, we tried to see the big picture and focus on our overarching goals. We knew that we wanted to find a way to celebrate with ALL of the different people from all of the different stages of our life. We also knew that we wanted a dance party coupled with a touching and family focused ceremony. We also chose a beach front venue because that was the background of us falling in love, spending months together at Julia’s beach house.
What was the best part of your wedding?
The best part of our wedding was definitely our ceremony, which surprised both of us! We had Julia’s grandfather officiate the ceremony and had joint readings from the mother of the bride and mother of the groom. There was something so beautiful about reading personalized vows to each other in front of everyone that we love, and asking for a community commitment to supporting us through our marriage.
Was there anything that surprised you about your wedding?
We were surprised at just how loved we felt! We tried to focus on showing our friends and family our appreciation for them but we felt just so supported all weekend.
What were some of your favorite images?
I adore the photos of our friends and family connecting authentically with each other and also the photos of our adorable flower children!!! Also, Angie encouraged us to take an impromptu sunset photo shoot once I changed into my reception dress, I love those images!
Any advice for couples going through this process or about to go through the process?
Don’t stress over the little details!!! I barely noticed the table settings I spent weeks obsessing over 🙂 enjoy the time celebrating your love.
