Turner Hill Wedding, Ipswich MA: Sara and Jack

Turner Hill Wedding: Sara and Jack

What led you to decide to celebrate the wedding the way that you did?

We chose to celebrate our wedding the way that we did as it was very important to us to have the people closest to us have a first hand look at our love and devotion to one another. When deciding if we wanted to say our vows privately or in front of everyone during the ceremony, it was a no brainer. We felt that the point of having a wedding with our people in attendance was to have everyone involved in the formal devotion to one another, and having everyone involved in the vulnerable side of our love.

Was there anything that surprised you about your wedding?

Something that surprised us about the wedding day was the lack of stress we felt, day of. Everyone constantly told us how chaotic and stressful it would be, but we were lucky enough to not experience that at all. The professionals we chose to work with made the whole day seamless and allowed us to enjoy every moment, and we’re so grateful! We loved the small moments during all out speeches of looking around at our guests and seeing their reactions to the memories, jokes, and words of love. Everyone was so locked in to every word being said and it made us feel even more seen and loved

What were some of your favorite images? Was there one in particular that you loved the most?

Choosing one favorite image is such a hard ask! One that we can’t get over is during our first dance, which we would try say was choreographed, but we did have 3-4 moves we could throw at any moment. Angie was able to capture one of our moves that did not work out as practiced, but we laughed it off and continued on with the flow of each other, and I feel that’s an insanely accurate metaphor of marriage.

Any advice for couples going through this process or about to go through the process?

Advice I would give to couples planning their wedding would to be research your vendors and professionals, as they will ultimately be the ones who run the day and ensure you are able to just enjoy, celebrate, and soak in the moments. This is one of the few (maybe only?) days in your life that this specific group of people will all be together, and just for you! Worrying about the small details is not something you want to be doing when you have such an amazing day to focus on. At the end of the day it is just ONE day in your life, but being present can make it so so so special.
