A lovely wedding in Salem, MA for Cecilie and Mark. Peabody Essex Museum provided a wonderful space for a late summer wedding.
What led you to decide to celebrate the wedding the way that you did?
We decided to have our wedding outside of Boston so we could be together with our guests in one place for a whole weekend. We decided on the Peabody Essex Musem because it is beautiful and allowed us to support a nonprofit organization, and because we love Salem and how almost everything within the city is within walking distance.
Was there anything that surprised you about your wedding?
We still cannot believe how everything went according to plan with no snafus!
What were some of your favorite images?
The veil photos are some of our favorites, as well as the images from the ceremony, particularly of us walking down the aisle after being pronounced husband and wife.
Any advice for couples going through this process or about to go through the process?
Our first piece of advice is to start early! Lock down your venue, photographer, florist and hair/makeup artist as a priority. Second piece of advice is to try not to have any expectations for the process (it’s normal to sometimes feel a bit overwhelmed) and to support each other and communicate each step along the way.
