Spring Wedding at The Commons 1854 Wedding, Topsfild MA: Jie and David

I’m really happy to share with you Jie and David’s spring wedding at The Commons 1854 in Topsfield MA. These two carefully planned their day and it paid off. One thing that was very important to the couple was giving their parents gifts which maybe one of  my favorite of all time set of images. Their parents meet in Jie’s room, the morning of the wedding, and the couple had prepared meaningful gifts as thank you’s. My favorite moment was when Jie read the inscriptions to her parents which resulted tears and laughter. The rest of the day followed with beautiful moments between the couple and their family and friends. I loved it.

Here are some small words from the couple.

What led you to have a wedding the way you did? Family, friends, location, etc?

Size: Personal preference, we wanted a relatively smaller wedding that’s more intimate, get to spend more time with each guest.

Location: Outside of Boston – close by but away from the city. Like the style of estate and with both outdoor  and indoor space.

What were you most excited about before the wedding?

Just looking forward to the day, everything – exchange vows, first dance, seeing family and friends especially those who you haven’t seen for a long time from far away.

Which images did you love the most?

The candid photos that capture the moments, also the artistic ones that are romantic and elegant.

Any advice for couples going through this process or about to go through the process?

Wedding planning can be stressful at times but it’s super fun to plan all the details, just give yourself enough time so you don’t feel super rushed in the whole process.
